Can it extract text from scanned pages?
No, not without OCR. Scanned pages are images. Use an OCR tool to recognize the text in those pages.
Does it keep the PDF formatting?
No. The output is plain text; fonts, columns, tables and page styling are not preserved.
Is the PDF sent to a server?
No ProTools upload is required. The browser reads the selected PDF locally.
