How to use Image to Text Converter
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image, select a recognition language, and start OCR. Review the extracted text, correct recognition mistakes, then copy or download the result.
Supported workflow and limitations
OCR accuracy depends on image sharpness, contrast, font size, language selection and page orientation. Complex layouts and handwriting may need manual correction.
Privacy and file handling
Your selected files are processed in your browser. ProTools does not require you to upload them to a document-processing server. Required JavaScript libraries and language data may be downloaded from their respective CDNs. Analytics and advertising are controlled separately by your cookie preferences.
Frequently asked questions
Does the image leave my device?
The recognition step runs in your browser with Tesseract.js. The OCR image is not sent to a ProTools processing server; the browser downloads the OCR library and language data when required.
Which image formats are supported?
The browser can decode common image formats such as JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF. Actual support depends on the browser.
Can I recognize Arabic text?
Yes. Select Arabic before running OCR, then review reading order and punctuation because right-to-left text may need adjustment.
