How to use Excel to CSV Converter
Upload an Excel workbook, choose the worksheet to export, preview its cell values and download the result as CSV.
Supported workflow and limitations
CSV can represent only one worksheet and plain text values. Formatting, formulas as formulas, charts, images and workbook features are not retained. Formula cells are exported using their cached values when available.
Privacy and file handling
Your selected files are processed in your browser. ProTools does not require you to upload them to a document-processing server. Required JavaScript libraries and language data may be downloaded from their respective CDNs. Analytics and advertising are controlled separately by your cookie preferences.
Frequently asked questions
Can I choose a worksheet?
Yes. Select any worksheet detected in the workbook before exporting.
Are formulas preserved?
CSV stores values, not formulas. The converter exports the cached calculated value when one exists.
Can I convert legacy XLS files?
Yes, if the workbook can be read by the browser SheetJS library.
